Steve is a hard working and loving man. I am so lucky to be married to
him. Steve grew up in southern California. He lived with and was later
adopted by his family, although he has continued a relationship with his
birth family. Steve had a life time dream of becoming a firefighter,
and shortly after we were married he started the fire academy. Steve
loves to camp. We have been camping at the beach and in Yosemite several
times. I know I can count on him to bring everything we need to make
our camping trips fun. Steve is very good at fixing things around the
house. I love that I can come to him and know he will be able to help me
with anything. If he doesn't know how to fix it, he will figure it out.
One thing that I really admire about Steve is his caring nature. He is
very observant of others and their needs. I am often surprised when he
knows just the perfect gift to give someone.

Kim grew up in a large family back east. She was the oldest of six
children and always looked forward to the day she would become a mom.
Some of her little sisters even claim that she was/is to mothering. In
high school she played basketball and softball, and she continued to
play and enjoy these sports throughout college on intramural teams. She
likes to joke that it was a good thing she tried out for the junior high
basket ball team because her basket ball skills helped her find her
husband. Kim decided to study elementary education at BYU, and has been
teaching for over 12 years. We felt blessed when S was a baby that
Kim was able to teach part time and she has been teaching part time ever
since. Teaching part time gives Kim the opportunity to still teach, but
to spend most of her time at home with her girls.
